Carbon for a decarbonised future

hamra icon

The transition to decarbonised societies is a defining issue of our time. The mining, oil & gas and advanced carbon materials industries will play key roles in the journey to energy decarbonisation. We invest in future enabling companies, and technologies across the entire spectrum of carbon assets and ferrous metals which we believe will play a role in this transition.

Our investments

Metallurgical coal mine focussed on supplying non-thermal metallurgical coal to the global steel industry. The mine is set over 10,000 acres, located across West Virginia, Kentucky, and Tennessee, and has over 17.2 million in-place tons of metallurgical coal resources, with a potential of a further 30.9 million tons, a five-mile railway line and load out, and a 500 ton per hour processing plant.

Carbon negative company utilising advanced nano materials to produce heavy duty coatings, paints, and additives with significantly enhanced physical properties e.g. stronger, anti-viral, fire-proof, super-insulating, super-hydrophobic and lighter.

UK-based exploration and development company focused on the development of a neodymium and praseodymium (NdPr) project located in Longonjo, Angola. The company also has interest in the Coola Project, which has rare earth mineralization and is set over approximately 7,500 square kilometres.

CPI is a US-based company focused on the production of carbon pitch, a critical raw material for manufacturing modern, advanced carbon materials increasingly used across diverse sectors e.g. power production, wind energy, aeronautical, construction, chemical and automotive. CPI’s plant in the US Gulf will primarily serve the graphite electrode and anode markets.
